Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown launches October 29, introducing naval combat, custom ships, new strongholds, business management, and challenging boss rush battles.

Pearl Abyss recently shared a new overview trailer for the Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown DLC. Here is what we know so far about what will be included when the DLC launches.

There will be many new things you can do in the game with this DLC. You'll be able to engage in naval combat, build strongholds, run a business and even take on a boss rush mode.

After being pushed back by two weeks the DLC will now release on October 29th 2026. This new trailer gave us confirmation of some of the new content but also showed off new ways we can explore outside of Pywel.

Whether it be crafting your very own ship or creating businesses out of the strongholds you've taken over there are many new aspects to look forward to.

Crimson Desert DLC Will Include Naval Combat and Your Own Ship

A new ship will be added to the game that you will have to create before venturing out to sea. There will be customisation options available that will allow you to change the front, back and hull of the ship.

You'll also be able to add cannons to your ship. This will come in handy when taking on enemy ships. Including the mysterious ghost ships. This should give players more reason to explore around the ocean.

You will also be able to see more underwater life. And can dive even deeper with your A.T.A.G turned into a submarine.

Create Strongholds and Businesses

There will be more that you can do with strongholds once this DLC is released.

Once you find the new islands you'll be able to create strongholds on them. You can then assign greymanes to help run them as a seaport.

You will also be able to run a business out of the strongholds you have already taken over in Pywel. By assigning people to work there you can equip them and hire more people to help you.

You can open up a restaurant or tailor shop and much more. This gives you more to do in the game and develop your settlements.

Take On Bosses In A Boss Rush Mode

If you're looking for more of a combat challenge you'll be able to do a boss rush mode when this DLC releases.

You will have the opportunity to fight many bosses you've previously beaten and be rewarded if you can make it through.

Some bosses may be tougher than others with the trailer showing us some of the Antumbra Order. If you want to complete all boss rush modes you may have to sharpen your skills.

When Is Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown Releasing?

Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown will release on October 29th 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

With many new features to explore we have no doubt that players will have lots to do when this DLC is released. It may even help with some areas in the game by allowing you to create businesses.
