League of Legends patch 12.23B is live! The new update is bringing some massive changes to Udyr. Riot feels like Udyr is overpowered right now, so they decided to nerf his Prowler Claw and AP builds.
Udyr is by far one of League of Legends' earliest champions. Despite the fact that he was released over a decade ago, his equipment stayed the same. Furthermore, when contrasted to newer champions like K'Sante, his powers and aesthetics were somewhat archaic.
As a result, Udyr obtained his much-needed VGU in 2022. Udyr became one of the game's strongest champions after his makeover. Even while Udyr remained a tank, his tank builds out-damaged many ADCs. So, Riot decided to make some changes.
Players with lethality builds, notably Prowlers Claw, could one-shot practically any champion. Additionally, after the preseason item and jungle adjustments, players may construct Ravenous Hydra and the new jungle companion, Mosstomper.
Here are all the Udyr changes:
Q – Wilding Claw
- Damage: 3 – 10% + (6% per 100 bonus AD max HP) > 3 – 8% + (5% per 100 bonus AD max HP)
- Empowered Damage: 2% – 5% + (3% per 100 bonus AD max HP) > 2% – 4% + (2% per 100 bonus AD max HP)
- On-Hit Base Damage: 5 – 45 + (20% Bonus AD) > 5 – 35 + (30% Bonus AD)
W – Iron Mantle
- Mana Cost: 45-28 mana to 40-23 mana
E – Blazing Stampede
- Mana Cost: 45-28 mana to 40-23 mana
R – Wingborne Storm
- Mana Cost: 45-28 mana to 40-23 mana
- R base damage per second: 10-50 > 10-60
Riot substantially reduced the base and enhanced damage of his Q. With the adjustments, Udyr's Prowlers Claw builds may be less powerful than previously.
Furthermore, Riot Games increased the damage and mana cost of his R, making many AP items much more feasible with Udyr now that the adjustments have been implemented.
