The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on March 7, 2023 with a wide variety of visual and other improvements.
Following the leaks from a couple of months ago, Obsidian's sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds is getting a very impressive next-gen upgrade on March 7, 2023, for PC , PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S .
Dubbed The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, this new release comes with a full slate of improvements - from better visuals to quality of life changes - and also includes both DLCs, Murder on Eridanos and Peril on Gorgon.
Some of the visual improvements that are included in this edition include higher resolution graphics, a dynamic weather system, overhauled lighting and environments and enhanced details on characters. Obsidian also increased level cap and improved performance and load times for the next-gen consoles.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition will not be a free upgrade. For those who already own the game and both DLCs, the upgrade to the enhanced edition will cost £5.00. Those who do not own The Outer Worlds will have to pay £49.99 for this version of the game.
Here's a neat graphic that Obsidian prepared to easier explain how you can upgrade to this shiny new edition if you own the game.
You're probably wondering why isn't Spacer's Choice Edition launching day one on Game Pass, well, it's because the release is not handled by Microsoft . Rockstar's AA publishing company Private Division still own the publishing rights for The Outer Worlds game so this release is all on them.
With The Outer Worlds 2, it will be a different story since Microsoft and Obsidian will be the one publishing the game therefore it will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day.
