Riot Games is launching a new initiative, Riot Play Club, uniting gamers through local game nights across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Nordics. Announced on Wednesday, September 4th, this ongoing program gives players an opportunity to link up with each other, enjoying their favorite Riot titles within a community setting.
From lifelong League of Legends players to the newest VALORANT players just beginning their console play, Riot Play Club has something for everyone.
Events are designed to provide a welcoming atmosphere where Riot fans can bond over shared interests, compete in friendly matches, and make memories to last for years. Each of the venues will put their own spin on the Play Club experience, so every event will be different.
Other activities that will go down include 5v5 summoner's rift showdowns and swift plays, ARAMS, 1v1 challenges, quizzes, and a chance to showcase plays of the month.
Those attending will also expect in-game activities on rotating modes like the Arena and watch parties for major esports tournaments such as Worlds and VCT. Besides, there is Riot merchandise that will be won during such events.
The Riot Play Club launches in a number of selected locations throughout the UK and Norway, with further venues to follow.
Events start on:
- London: 18th September - Sidequest Charing Cross and Elephant Park, 21st September - Razer Store London, and 26th September - New Meta Islington.
- Coventry: September 18th
- Manchester: Pixel Bar on the 25th.
- Leeds: Pixel Bar, September 25th. Oslo: Eldorado, 21st of September.
