Prey has a new trailer and a release date

Prey is shaping up to be quite an interesting sci-fi horror piece - according to trailers at least

The new Prey trailer is messing with my head. Influences from System Shock, Bioshock. Half-Life, Portal, Dishonored, Deus Ex, and Red Faction can all be seen radiating out of the thing. Arkane know their stuff and hopes are high that all of these disjointed bits on display will form a coherent and immersive experience.

Some lead Arkane people a while back that they expect Prey's launch on PC to be a lot smoother than the bug ridden release of Dishonored 2 was late last year. Prey will be another Bethesda published game, so a flawless PC launch is questionable at best.

The official release date for Prey is 5 May 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
