Studios Drama have revealed the first gameplay footage of their upcoming body cam first person shooter and it's safe to say internet is losing their heads over it for various reasons.
With the release of new development tools and tech like the Unreal Engine 5 and path tracing , it's safe to say that video games have become so good looking that at times, it's hard to say whether you're watching an actual game or real world footage.
One of these next-gen titles is a body cam shooter called Unrecorded, which is currently in early development for PC . Studio behind this tactical shooter where you play as a police officer have just released the first gameplay footage and it's safe to say that if real, Unrecorded is truly the most impressive looking game we've seen so far.
The level of detail in each locations is second to none and the animations and shooting look great too. But don't let us tell you about that, see it for yourself in the trailer above.
Pretty crazy, right? The internet is losing their heads over this footage for all sorts of reasons. Some point out that such realism should be heavily moderated in games and that the setting where you play as a police officer killing people is disturbing.
There are those who have their jaws dropped at the visuals, which really steal the show in the trailer. Several Twitter users refuse to believe we're looking at the actual game here.
But Studios Drama are pretty adamant that their game is real and it's coming in the near future. The team is currently on a lookout for a publisher and investors and have stated that Unrecord will not release this year.
As for the gameplay elements and story, Unrecord is a single-player shooter tells the story of a tactical police officer from the perspective of his body camera. The devs also promise authentic ADS system and movement, tactical combat and dialogue choices that will impact the experience.
Unrecord seems to be coming only to PC. The console version is yet to be announced.
