Rumours about the new Nintendo Switch Pro console are still swirling, and CentroLeaks just added to the flames with a tweet that shares a possible announcement date and time.
Nintendo's hybrid console took the world by storm back in 2017 and now the rumours are swirling that the beloved Switch is getting some new hardware.
A Twitter user who goes by the nickname CentroLeaks shared the following:
"We have received and verified a screenshot from a big retailer's internal system that shows a new Switch hardware-related listing will go live on June 4 (around midnight). That's all we have for now, there's no other data / attributes in the listing right now."
The original tweet:
Reddit user u/SnowFlakesMilkHoney shared the leak and clarified the intended time - CentoLeaks' tip was referring to midnight CST, which translates into 6:00 BST. As to the source's credibility, the comments on SnowFlakesMilkHoney's post place CentoLeaks "one or two tiers below Schreier and Grubb".
A couple of days ago, Shpeshal_Nick of Twitter mused about a mysterious Nintendo announcement tweeting:
"At the moment, I’m told the Super Nintendo Switch (that’s what I want the name to be damn it) Direct/Mini Direct/Announcement is scheduled for Thursday. But it’s been pushed before, could be again".
June 4, 2021, isn't that far off so we will soon know if CentroLeaks deserved the high praise from XmiteYT . The date could bring us a taste of what the folks over at Nintendo have cooking for the main event which will be their showcase at this year's online-only gaming extravaganza that is E3.
