Super Mario Bros. Wonder receives a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on March 26, introducing Bellabel Park, expanded multiplayer modes, new characters, and upgrade options.

Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will release globally on March 26. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition comes with Meetup in Bellabel Park bonus content and features new cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes made for Nintendo Switch 2.

Meetup in Bellabel Park focuses on a new area in the Flower Kingdom called Bellabel Park, which serves as the multiplayer hub to welcome local and online friends into Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Bellabel Park Introduces New Multiplayer Plazas

Two expansive multiplayer plazas in Bellabel Park serve as home base for attractions where up to four players can cooperate or compete against each other with quick, repeatable challenges.

Attractions found in the Local Multiplayer Plaza include:

  • Fast cash: Tip Tap’s Coin Spree mini-game where players compete to see who can grab the most coins
  • Knock ’em Back: Bubble Blaster battle royale-style attraction where players attempt to knock each other out of bounds

The Local Multiplayer Plaza offers 17 attractions total and supports local multiplayer for up to four players using one copy of the game. GameShare allows for one copy of the game to be shared locally with up to three friends.

Expanded Online Play and Competitive Modes

Bellabel Park’s Game Room Plaza lets players battle others locally via wireless or online. Everyone plays on their own Nintendo Switch 2 system and joins lobbies on their individual screens.

Game Room Plaza includes:

  • Up to 6v6 matches
  • Six new competitive attractions
  • Online and local wireless play

Upgrade Options, amiibo, and Talking Flower Release

Players who own Super Mario Bros. Wonder can purchase an upgrade to access the Switch 2 Edition contents. Launching on March 26 with Super Mario Bros. Wonder on Nintendo Switch 2 are three amiibo:

  • Elephant Mario
  • Poplin and Prince Florian
  • Captain Toad and Talking Flower

The Talking Flower amiibo will be available for separate purchase starting March 12. Available for pre-order now on Nintendo’s official store and with select retailers.
