Nintendo has announced a Pokemon Presents event scheduled for February 27th alongside Pokemon Day celebrations. The event will broadcast at 6 AM PT showcasing new franchise developments and potential game announcements alongside unexpected surprises. The latest announcement came after datamined information from Pokemon GO previously suggested this upcoming event.
One of the biggest topics of discussion will likely be Pokemon Legends: Z-A, as it emerged as a recently announced game taking place in Lumiose City.
February 2025 saw the official announcement of this title, but details beyond its setting remain undisclosed with a release scheduled for later this year.
Since no gameplay footage or major details have been shared yet fans can't wait to find out what this new game title will deliver to the series.
According to industry insider Jeff Grubb the Pokemon Presents event will feature Nintendo Switch games while leaving out announcements about exclusives for the rumoured Switch 2.
The upcoming event will feature next-gen compatible games but is unlikely to showcase any exclusive titles for the rumoured new console.
Aside from Pokemon Legends: Z-A, there exist rumours regarding future game projects. The project named Project Gaia is rumoured to be the upcoming tenth generation mainline Pokemon game.
The MMO project known as Synapse developed by ILCA reportedly exists but its relationship to the franchise has not yet been confirmed.
Fans must be patient for a few more days of uncertainty before Nintendo and The Pokemon Company reveal their plans. Official announcements and surprises will be revealed during the Pokemon Presents event on February 27th.
