New World esports are starting with humble roots as the first tournament that drew the players attention is organised by a member of the community.

New World was originally meant to be a hardcore PvP game but as the time went by, Amazon Game Studios switch focus to PvE and now the PvP community doesn't really have as much support as it was supposed to.

However, New World YouTuber and streamer, Graphic, organised a 1v1 cross-server tournament that will be held on October 15, 2022, at 12:00 PM (noon) PDT / 3:00 PM EDT / 7:00 PM CEST and the participants can already sign up .

The tournament has a basic set of rules but the organisers reserve the right to ban anyone at their discretion at any given time.

To avoid such an occurrence, you might want to keep the rules in mind:

  1. No cheating
  2. No toxicity
  3. No Life Staff
  4. Greatsword, runestones and heartrunes are allowed
  5. Consumables that are usually usable in the arena are allowed, bugged ones are not
  6. Heart runes need to be taken out of inventory before each fight and then put back in to trigger their cooldown

Amazon Game Studios New World greatsword Greatswords will be featured at the tournament

As for the rewards, the organisers pitched in for the cash rewards while AGS provided game keys:

  1. First place: $100 and five New World codes
  2. Second place: Three New World codes
  3. Third place: Two New World codes

In order for the tournament to be properly cross-server, it will be held on PTR, which may have been obvious as soon as Greatsword and runes were mentioned, which are coming to the live servers on October 18, 2022.
