New World has had major imbalances in PvP for a while now and Amazon Game Studios addressed several of them with update 3.0.3.
Blunderbuss is one of the most frequent sources of grievance due to high burst damage, which should occur less frequently in the future as its damage in PvP has been reduced by 3.62 per cent.
Additionally, Last Chance will provide only 30 per cent Fortify now and On a Roll stacks now have individual durations.
Meanwhile, those who were frustrated with Shirking Heals will get a breather as the cooldown has been moved from five up to 10 seconds, meaning you can't just refill your health every five seconds anymore. This will hit solo players harder but it was necessary to get rid of virtually unkillable players.
To clam down on heals further, AGS also buffed Disease in multiple ways. First, it will also cause healers to pump out less healing to any allies they target and the reduction amount is equal to half the stated healing reduction on gear or ability. For example, if you cause Disease on an enemy, reducing their healing by 26 per cent, it will also cause the enemy to heal their allies for 13 per cent less.
Plagued Crits no longer requires the target to be under 50 per cent health to activate and it can be refreshed on each crit. Plagued Strikes can also be refreshed while active.
Scorpion's Sting will still be a great boost to your crowd control potential but it will not be as oppressive now since it increases Javelin's cooldown by 50 per cent.
