Having strutted all of our stuff during Pokemon GO's recent Fashion Week event, it is now time to go out there again, and this time around, enjoy the warm-up for the Festival of Lights in the Evolving Stars event. Here's how to spend this weekend in Pokemon GO.

The Season of Light story shines on
A whole new part of Cosmog’s story in the Season of Light has become available during the Evolving Stars event. Adding yet another piece to the otherworldly Pokemon's puzzle means taking another step on your journey to the stars.
Cosmoem has taken this opportunity to make its Pokemon GO debut and the Trainers can now evolve their Cosmog into Cosmoem by using 25 Cosmog Candy. You can do this without fear of losing your only Cosmog as you'll soon have the opportunity to encounter additional Cosmog for your collection.
Mega Gyarados Raid Day in Pokemon GO
The mini-event will kick off today, Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., and go on until 5:00 p.m. local time.
Raid Day bonuses
- Mega Gyarados will appear more frequently in raids.
- You can receive up to five additional Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms.
- You’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Gyarados.

Field Research task encounters
Complete Field Research to earn items such as Stardust, Evolution items, and Mega Energy.
Evolving Collection Challenges
Four Collection Challenges focused on evolving Pokemon will be held during the Evolving Stars event. Trainers need to complete the challenges to receive Evolution items.
Evolution Cup
Some rules for the Cup:
- Pokemon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter.
- Only Pokemon that have evolved at least once and can evolve again will be eligible.
