Amazon Games today announced a new version of their MMORPG New World. Officially titled New World: Aeternum, the game is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 15, 2024.
Think of Aeternum as the ultimate edition of the game that includes every bit of content released in New World so far including the base game, Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, all previous updates but also brand new content that previously wasn't available in New World.
Amazon says that Aeternum has been specifically designed for consoles, with complete feature parity for PC players too. Some of these include target locking and aim assist, virtual cursor, controller navigation and accessibility features.
New World Aeternum new content
Amazon Games confirmed that players can play Aeternumn entirely on their own or with other players. The game will support competitive and cooperative online cross-platform play, meaning you can play with players on PS5 if you're a PC or Xbox player and vice versa.
Some of the new features include:
- A new PvP zone
- A new 10-player raid
- End-game solo trials
- New character archetypes
- Revamped dialogue system
- Upgraded levelling experience
New World Aeternum Standard Edition will cost $59.99 while the Deluxe Edition is priced at $79.99. On console New World Aeternum will also require PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core subscibtion.
PC players who already own New World and the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion will get access to New World: Aeternum on PC at no extra cost.
