Amazon celebrates the launch of New World's Season 10: Nighthaven by making its first major expansion free for everyone.

The 10th season of New World: Aeternum, titled Nighthaven, is officially live. The update introduces a brand-new zone, a darker storyline, new progression features, and significant endgame improvements that reshape how players experience Aeternum.

As part of the Season 10 celebration, Amazon Games has made the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion free for all PC players who own the base New World game but never purchased the expansion. Eligible players will automatically gain access once the update is installed, with no extra steps or downloads required.

Anyone who bought the expansion within the last 30 days will also receive a full refund, processed automatically via Steam within 72 hours. Players who own New World: Aeternum already have access to all Rise of the Angry Earth content by default.

Nighthaven season

The Nighthaven season transports players to an ancient, long-hidden land cut off from Aeternum for generations. Its towering castles, shadowy forests, and mysterious inhabitants make it one of the game’s most atmospheric regions yet. Legends speak of a powerful king and the creatures that serve him - part man, part beast - who now threaten to spill into the wider world.

Players will also embark on The Tear of Gaea, a new storyline that delves into Nighthaven’s past while testing allegiances and courage. Exploration plays a larger role than before, with unmarked objectives and secrets waiting to be uncovered in ruins, catacombs, and vertical castle environments.

Fresh Endgame and Raid Content

Season 10 also adds the new 10-player Isle of Night raid and updates the endgame to encourage deeper exploration and team coordination. Downtime for the update began at 5 a.m. PT (12 p.m. UTC) on October 13, with servers expected to return within two hours.
