According to the latest listing by Austrian online retailer Gameware, new Need for Speed game is named Heat and it's coming in 2019. Gameware's website shows the full title of the game along with a placeholder cover art and release window.
Earlier this year, Electronic Arts confirmed that a brand new Need for Speed game is currently in development with a goal to create a "truly memorable" title to properly celebrate 25 years since the release of the first game in the series.
Since then, the Need for Speed team went completely silent and we're yet to get first details about the game's title, setting and gameplay features. However, today, Austrian online retailer Gameware have prematurely revealed some of these details.
As seen on their website, the new Need for Speed game will be named Heat. The listing includes the full title, along with a placeholder cover art, probably from some earlier Need for Speed No Limits promotion.
There's also a release window, and just like EA confirmed, it's set for 2019. Furthermore, the price is set at € 67,99 and the retailer even offers a pre-order. Currently, the game is listed only for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Whether the listing is legit or fake, it remains to be seen but it wouldn't be the first time that online retailers leak game info before the official announcements. You can take a look at the listing in the screenshot below.
New Need for Speed should arrive sometime in Autumn 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If we had to guess, we would say that we'll get to play it in the month of November, which has been a Need for Speed launch month, for the last four instalments.
EA hinted at the full reveal at this year's Gamescom which starts on 20 August 2019. "We’re building an amazing game that we can’t wait to show off, and the next time we talk, we’ll be packing our bags and heading south for the full unveiling. We’ll see you then," EA wrote in .
