It looks like EA could announce something related to Need for Speed very soon. The publisher teased October 5, 2020 date in the latest Need for Speed heat screenshot over on Twitter.
The next Need for Speed game is slated for Q4 2021 but it looks like EA could announce it very soon. Judging by the latest tease in Need for Speed Heat screenshot, EA plan some sort of a reveal or announcement for next week - Monday, October 5, 2020.
The screenshot, which you can check out below, features a huge billboard in the top right corner with an ad for a Big Joe's pizza but the price and the phone number is what caught our attention. As you can clearly see, the numbers are 5 10, which suggests that something is coming on October 5.
Now, we do not know for sure what exactly EA plan to reveal on Monday, but our guess would be Need for Speed Underground Remaster, which has been subject of many rumours over the last couple of months.
The announcement of a remastered version of Underground definitely sounds more realistic than a brand new Need for Speed game but guess we will have to wait a bit more to see what exactly EA are up to.
Earlier this year, Criterion Games confirmed that they are now fully focusing on developing the next Need for Speed game, which should arrive in November 2021.
In other Need for Speed news, Payback is free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers this month.
