Ed Boon has shared the official cover art for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 ahead of the big community reveal event next week. The cover star is once again the resurrected ninja Scorpion in his new outfit with iconic Kunai knives.
A reveal event for Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled for 17 January 2019 where fans will get a bunch of new info about the game including some gameplay and first roster information.
Ed Boon couldn't wait that long to share the first look at Mortal Kombat 11's cover art. Boon posted a photo on his Twitter saying how happy he is to share it with the world.
The cover art features one of the most popular, if not the most popular Mortal Kombat character - Scorpion. He wear's his new outfit which features a hoodie, wields a Kunai while stretching his arm like he's about to grab something. Raiden's head maybe? They had that fight in the reveal trailer after all.
The background follows Scorpion theme with yellow colour and Mortal Kombat dragon logo with "Mortal 11 Kombat" title in the centre. The art looks simple and minimalistic which of course doesn't mean that it's bad. The look follows Mortal Kombat X's cover art which was also very minimalistic with a black background and side-shot of Scorpion.

Speaking about the "get over here" guy, recent suggested that Kevin Conroy will be voicing the hell-spawned spectre. Conroy previously worked with NetherRealm Studios on Injustice: Gods Among Us where he voiced Batman, so the leak looks pretty strong and it wouldn't be surprising if Scorpion gets voiced by Batman himself.
Some leaks also revealed a full fighter roster with new characters like Kronika, Reina and Diederik. The leaker even shared Kombat Pack 1 DLC characters but just like with any other leak, take this info with a grain of salt and 17 January is just around the corner anyway.
Mortal Kombat 11 was announced back in December 2018, and it's set for release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 23 April 2019.
