It looks like NetherRealm Studios could announce the next Kombat Pack for their brutal fighter Mortal Kombat 11 sometime this week. The game's creator Ed Boon teased a reveal shortly after the latest sales milestone announcement.
Yesterday, NetherRealm Studios officially announced a massive sales milestone for their fighting title Mortal Kombat 11. Since its release back in April 2019, Mortal Kombat 11 has sold 8 million copies, which certainly is an impressive number for a fighting game.
To celebrate the occasion, NetherRealm plan to reveal some big Mortal Kombat 11 news this week. This is according to the game's creator Ed Boon who tweeted the following:
"After 8 million (and kounting) MK11 games sold we're not done yet. Stay tuned to see what's next for MK11 this week!"
At the moment, we do not know what exactly NetherRealm have in store for Mortal Kombat 11 fans, but our guess would be Kombat Pack 3 with new fighters including the return of Mileena. Rumours about Kombat Pack 3 have been floating around the gaming forums and social media for quite some time now, so it would not surprise us if we actually got an official reveal.
It's also possible that some sort of Halloween-themed event is coming or even a next-gen port but until we get an official confirmation, this is just speculation.
Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia. If you are yet to purchase the game, check out our review of the game .
