Developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. have released a brand new trailer for their upcoming fighting title Mortal Kombat 1.
The new trailer focuses on the legendary Lin Kuei clan and their ninjas Scorpion, Sub Zero and (drumroll) Smoke. Yes, the latest ninja to be added to the main roster is indeed the fan-favourite Smoke, who was officially unveiled in the trailer.
Smoke rocks a slick new look with his signature style grey hair which is a bit shorter this time around. We also got to see him in action so make sure to check out the trailer for all the moves and brutal, bone-breaking fatalities.
Additionally, NetherRealm also confirmed ninja wizard Rain will be featured in the main roster of Mortal Kombat 1 which is big news for the fans of this fighter.
You can check out Rain's look in the screenshot below, or watch the trailer as it features some pretty awesome water magic attacks that he unleashes against his poor opponents.
Furthermore, we also got to see new Kameo fighters including Frost and Cyrax as well as two new fighting stages - a temple set in a deep snowy mountain range and some sort of treasure valut that is packed with gold, shields, chests and all sorts of valuable items.
All in all, this trailer certainly gave a a ton of new details and you can expect to see and hear more in the coming weeks and months as we get closer to the launch date of Mortal Kombat 1.
Mortal Kombat 1 is officially releasing on September 19, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
