Updated on July 7, 2023, to add two new stages from the Lin Kuei Clan trailer.
With the release of the first Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay footage, we got to see some of the brand-new fighting arenas that will be in the game on launch. The gameplay trailers gave us a glimpse at a total of nine new stages and we really have to say that all of them look absolutely incredible.
Below, we've made a list of all these revealed stages along with their respective images and a short description. Keep in mind that we still don't have official names for these stages but hopefully NetherRealm will be sharing more on that in the coming months.
So without further ado, let's check all confirmed Mortal Kombat 1 arenas so far.
Untitled treasury dungeon stage
Another stage that was debuted in the Lin Kuei Clan trailer. It seems to be some sort of treasury with tons and tons of gold, shields, chests and other valuable items. We also see a large carriage in the background as well as some big cogs on the left side.
Snowy mountain temple stage
This stage was officially unveiled in the Lin Kuei Clan trailer which shows us a large temple deep in snowy mountains. As you can see in the screenshot above, the stage is highly detailed and features heavy snowfall and many signs of battle.
Fengjian Teahouse stage
A gorgeous Asian restaurant stage where Sub Zero and Scorpion meet young Kung Lao for a pretty spectacular brawl.
Johnny Cage's expensive apartment
Yep, that's Johnny Cage's home turf alright. It totally suits him. We have to say this is one of the most gorgeous stages revealed so far with a stunning city view.
Ancient temple ruins stage
It's possible that this one is the home arena of Liu Kang given that he fights Scorpion here but this is yet to be officially confirmed.
Shaolin temple - Raiden's stage
This one is fairly easy to guess. It's a Shaolin temple stage and probably the home turf for Raiden, who appears in the trailer fighting on this stage as you can see in the screenshot below.
Princess Kitana's Garden stage
Another visually appealing stage is what appears to be the garden/guest area of Princess Kitana who takes on Mileena in this lovely area.
Untitled Forest arena
A stage with gorgeous lush vegetation and a pathway into the forest. We also see two large trees that have faces with green glowing eyes.
Lantern Festival celebrations stage
A pretty impressive stage in terms of visuals with fireworks going off, lanterns floating in the sky and a huge bonfire in the background.
We will be updating this article with images and short descriptions as NetherRealm reveal more Mortal Kombat 1 arenas.
