After the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2023, Xbox were pretty clear that fans can expect more from them in terms of game reveals thorough the year, namedropping some events like Gamescom and The Game Awards.
Yes, we've seen a lot at their big showcase with games like Fable and Starfield taking the spotlight, but Xbox and Bethesda have more in store and it's not a surprise to see the duo confirming their presence at one of the biggest gaming events in Europe - Gamescom.
The official Twitter profile of Gamescom 2023 revealed that Xbox and Bethesda have officially joined the expo, which takes place from August 23 to August 27, 2023.
Interestingly, the event is just days before the official early access launch of Starfield, which can be played starting on September 1, 2023, so it's possible we see more of the game at the show. As for other announcements, we assume Xbox and Bethesda won't bring the big guns as Gamescom doesn't really attract as much audience as E3 seasons for example, but certainly expect some pleasant surprises, nonetheless.
Last year, Xbox revealed new updates for Age of Empires IV and Sea of Thieves and had dev interviews for titles like Pentiment, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Lies of P among others. We also got a fresh batch of Xbox Game Pass announcements so expect a similar format this year, too.
So all in all, Xbox and Bethesda Gamescom 2023 show will probably bring a lot of interesting news and announcement so you should definitely tune in if games from these two publishers are your cup of tea.
Gamescom 2023 kicks off on August 22, 2023, with a big Opening Night Live show, which will feature world premiere announcements and gameplay reveals. You can watch the whole thing on Gamescom's YouTube channel.
