It's that time of the year again. Publishers are starting to give us the first bits of information about their annual sports video games like FIFA and NBA 2K. Today, we have the first official details on NBA 2K24, including the cover art athlete, editions and dates when the pre-orders officially go live.
2K Games confirmed that NBA 2K24 cover athlete will be the legendary Lakers Kobe Bryant. The game comes in a couple of editions - Standard Edition, Kobe Bryant Edition and Black Mamba Edition but more details on what exactly each edition includes are expected tomorrow, July 7, when the pre-orders officially go live.
2K Games also shared the official covers of Kobe Bryant Edition and Black Mamba Edition. Obviously, both feature Kobe Bryant and you can check them out in the 2K's tweet below.
And that's about everything we know about NBA 2K24 at the moment. More details will be revealed tomorrow when we expect to see the first trailer and look at the visuals and new features that will hopefully bring improvements to the overall experience.
NBA 2K24 will probably launch sometime in the first half of September, as that's usually the time when 2K release their basketball simulation games. We don't yet have the details on platforms but it's safe to assume that PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S platforms are a lock.
