Could PlayStation 5 exclusives like Final Fantasy 7 Remake finally arrive to Xbox?
Could PlayStation 5 exclusives like Final Fantasy 7 Remake finally arrive to Xbox?

More unannounced and previously PlayStation-exclusive games are slated for Xbox consoles in 2025 according to reliable Xbox insider Jez Corden.

According to WindowsCentral reporter and Xbox insider Jez Corden, some unannounced and previously PlayStation-exclusive games are coming to Xbox Series X|S next year.

"...sources suggest to me that even more unannounced and previously PlayStation-exclusive games are slated for Xbox in 2025 as well," Corden states.

He explains that there is still a business opportunity on Xbox, which is why we're seeing games like Genshin Impact and Death Stranding coming to Microsoft's platform after being exclusive to PlayStation for such a long time.

One thing that Corden did not reveal is what these games could be. It's possible that more Final Fantasy games are coming to Xbox, namely Final Fantasy 7 Remake or Final Fantasy 16. Black Myth: Wukong is another good guess.

Also, there's Helldivers 2, which has been rumoured to be coming to Xbox for a while. Even Phil Spencer himself said Helldivers 2 not being on Xbox is not helping the industry.

We also got rumours about Lego Horizon West potentially coming to Xbox in early 2025. Obviously, none of this is officially announced yet so take everything with a grain of salt, until we get a confirmation from the publishers.

Square Enix previously confirmed they want to bring Final Fantasy 16 to Xbox

The exciting part for the Xbox fans is that some unannounced PlayStation games could be coming soon to their platform. What exactly is Corden referring to here it's not clear. Could it be some big live service game from Sony like the upcoming Fairgames$? Or the Horizon online multiplayer game? It will certainly be interesting to watch this space.

I think it's safe to say that Sony's big blockbuster titles like Uncharted, Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel's Spider-Man and God of War series won't be coming to Xbox as these are the driving force behind PlayStation 5 console sales and PlayStation brand in general.

All in all, it's always great when more games are available on more platforms and in an ideal world, we wouldn't have any exclusivity at all but unfortunately, we're not there just yet. Hopefully, sometime in the near future, this will change so everyone can play whatever they want on the platform they want.
