Monster Hunter: World has been nothing but success for Capcom ever since the game initially released in January 2018. The developers also worked hard to regularly introduce fresh content like new expansion Iceborne or smaller additions such as crossover events.
Previously, Monster Hunter: World hosted Geralt from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and today, two new iconic characters will visit the world of Capcom's action RPG. This time it's Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield from Capcom's survival horror title Resident Evil 2 Remake, which launched this year.
The crossover event introduces a special quest that will have players hunting down a Blackveil Vaal Hazak. There's a small catch though, the spore releases have a weird effect on players, making them act like undead instead of turning them into actual brain-hungry creatures.
Players who complete the hunt will get to craft Full Armour Sets which are based on Leon and Claire outfits from Resident Evil 2 Remake. On top of this, rewards include Raccoon City-themed pendants for swords and new gestures which include a zombie shuffle and zombie bite. The latter also deals damage to nearby monsters.
The update also brings new Resident Evil-themed room items including the typewriter and new item box. Last but not least, The Handler's Tyrant costume is available for purchase for £2.39 while Raccoon City Sticker Set is priced at £1.59.
Resident Evil crossover event is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and it should arrive to PC at a later date, just like all previous updates.
