Bellring Games has just announced their newest game, Mistfall Hunter, a soulslike action RPG that puts up to four players in a world full of both PvE and PvP content, coming next year.
At release, as said in the recent Xbox Partner Preview, Mistfall Hunter will come to both Xbox Series X/S and PC. The Open Beta, however, has also been confirmed for PC, although at an unspecified date.
On the one hand, Mistfall Hunter is an RPG set in a dark and mysterious world where the gods have fallen and their blood has turned into a corrosive Gyldenmist force, civilization is about to collapse when the mysterious character Dew arrives who has the power to revive the fallen warriors so that they can restore hope to humanity.
On the other hand, now that you may have warmed up to the game, it is a PvPvE title with an extraction game format. Mistfall Hunter is set to have several playable classes, and the players will have the option to enter the battlefield solo or accompanied by two other players.
The goal in these battles will be to grab the treasure and escape, in this case by orienting yourself towards the exit portal by following the bell in the distance.
The game's setting is in a dark fantasy world, with strong inspiration from the Nordic mythology, where the blood of fallen gods has birthed a corrosive force known as Gyldenmist that threatens to erase civilization from the world. While Mistfall Hunter brings some familiar gameplay elements from action RPGs and extraction shooters as well.
In the end, we can only wait and see whether Mistfall Hunter would live up to expectations when the game launches in 2025. Also, stay tuned for more information, including beta announcements and gameplay reveals, ahead of its release.
