Palworld update v0.7 ‘Home Sweet Home’ improves base building, adds raid battlefields, enhances melee combat, and introduces an ULTRAKILL collaboration ahead of version 1.0.

Palworld is ending 2025 on a strong note with Update v0.7, Home Sweet Home. While the update might not be brimming with entirely new regions or expansive systems to conquer, it’s a crucial piece of the ongoing puzzle that sets the stage for Palworld 1.0.

It’s a refinement update more focused on making improvements and setting the stage for the future rather than going after huge content drops. Pocketpair has been vocal about this being a groundwork update.

For players that love building creative bases or tearing into raids with friends, this update has some changes you’ll want to keep an eye out for.

ULTRAKILL collaboration arrives

One of the most eye-catching new additions in v0.7 is Palworld’s second crossover event, this time with ULTRAKILL. The game’s collaboration is bringing over a handful of weapons and armour from the high-octane shooter, complete with V1’s signature coin toss mechanic.

It’s a stylish new take that gives combat a different flavour, especially for players who like to tinker with off-kilter gear. Pocketpair also gave a shout-out to New Blood and ULTRAKILL developer Hakita for helping to make the crossover a reality.

Building gets more freedom

As the name of the update implies, a major area of focus is your base camp. The building system has been expanded with a number of new pieces, including the long-requested triangle-shaped options, for greater control over shapes and layouts.

You’ll also be able to swap the colours of building parts, allowing for easier base personalisation and more truly you bases. The building menu has also been reworked into a cleaner list format for faster and more intuitive piece searching.

New raid battlefields and boss

Raid battles got an upgrade as well. Players have an option to either fight a raid boss at their base, or at a special Raid Area. Raid Areas are safe spaces where players can fight without fear of losing their base.

Fighters can also make use of temporary buildings and items within the raid battlefields, which should make aggressive players run wild. In addition, a new raid boss has also been added to the mix.

Melee combat improvements

Melee combat got a first batch of improvements in this update, to make it more viable later in the game. Sword, katana, and beam sword attacks have been revised so they transition into chained combos.

All that is required is a repeated input for each combo. Special attacks have also been introduced for katanas and beam swords, which are activated by holding certain buttons. Pocketpair has also confirmed this is only the first step, with more melee combat improvements coming in Palworld 1.0.
