Each release of Microsoft Flight Simulator, along with the inevitable graphical improvement, introduces innovations that will allow players to explore the world in more detail and various scenarios that will make their flight adventures long to be remembered.
This year's Asobo and Microsoft's sequel, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, is no exception in that area, as ten flight careers were unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase presentation, each of which comes with its own objectives and available aircraft.
One of the most exciting jobs is certainly related to Red Bull competitions, where we will have the opportunity to pilot fast planes and compete against computer-controlled pilots on various "tracks".
Commercial flights
Commercial flights are not new, but we certainly have the opportunity to live in a different way, considering that, judging by the promotional video, passenger planes come with simulated passengers who need to be transported to a certain airport on time while complying with all flight control procedures related to these undertakings.
Patient transport
Although not explained in detail, transporting patients could be one of the most demanding jobs, considering that in addition to transporting them to the hospital as quickly as possible, virtual pilots may also have to keep an eye on the patient's condition and avoid turbulence, while aerial advertising will likely require accuracy and flight between strictly defined points, but according to the wishes of the advertiser.
Search&Rescue, VIP transport
As its name suggests, the VIP transportation service will bring scenarios where we will have to buy a certain person who can pay a lot for such a service and take them to a given place with the necessary care for their comfort during the flight.
Search and rescue, on the other hand, includes finding the victims, for example due to a shipwreck, and transporting them to a safe location, while the career of helicopter transport is intended for those who like to maneuver with attached heavy and special loads.
Other in-game careers
Remote Cargo Ops is the most similar air transport of cargo, but in it we will work for the army, which will provide us with not at all agile massive military transport aircraft.
The jobs behind the names Agricultural Aviation and Aerial Firefighting are very similar, considering that in the first case we will have to fly over the fields and pour certain chemicals, while in the second case the players will have to release large amounts of water and other resources at the exact location of the fire. in order to prevent the spread of fires and ultimately extinguish them.
