Asobo Studio and Xbox have today shared the official minimum and recommended PC system requirements for the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which is landing on November 19, 2024.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 brings a whole slate of new features over its predecessor including some major improvements in the visual department so expect better lighting, ray tracing, vastly improved world detail and much more.
All of this means the hardware requirements go up too, so if you are looking forward to this one, you may want to check the graph below to see if your PC is powerful enough to run this stunning video game.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 PC specs
As you can see, the graph includes minimum, recommended and ideal specs. Under the first two, the listed hardware is not scary at all with graphics cards like GTX 970 under minimum and RTX 2080 under recommended.
However, things get serious once we take a look at the Ideal spec section, which includes the Nvidia RTX 4080, one of the fastest cards money can buy at the moment. Unfortunately, we don't know what kind of graphical settings are under Ideal spec and what's the target frame rate but If we had to guess, we'd say it's probably something like Ultra, 4K and 60 FPS.
In case you haven't realised by now, you'll also need a very good internet connection to play Flight Simulator 2024 since most of the game world needs to be streamed from Microsoft's servers. Otherwise, the download would probably be around 300 GB.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S.
