Microsoft Flight Simulator is taking its players on a fly-over tour of Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The new update for the flight simulator is now available for free.

All these travel restrictions and quarantines left a bad taste in your mouth but you own a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator? Asobo Studio has just the fix: a new major update for Microsoft Flight Simulator has landed and will see the players simulate flights over Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update VI contains new aerial imagery, high-resolution elevation maps and several brand-new 3D cities in Germany, Basel in Switzerland, Graz and Vienna in Austria. The new free patch will dramatically enhance the visuals of these three countries and the beautiful mountain ranges of the Alps.

The team over at Asobo Studio painstakingly hand-crafted over 100 well-known locations (points of interest, or POIs) and several airports including Lübeck, Stuttgart, Klagenfurt and St. Gallen.

Players will be pleased to hear that the World Update VI also comes fueled up with new discovery flights, landing challenges and bush trips that take simmers across this beautiful region of our one and only Earth.

It will be worth checking for additional updates to your simulator and then proceeding to the Marketplace to download and then take off with the latest world update.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is available on Windows 10 PC, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and with Xbox Game Pass.
