4A Games and Deep Silver have officially announced DLC roadmap for Metro Exodus. The first story-driven DLC is named The Two Colonels and it's coming sometime in Summer 2019. The final DLC, named Sam's Story is scheduled for early 2020.
The final game in Metro trilogy, Metro Exodus is getting two story expansions it's been officially confirmed by the developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver. According to the announcement, there will be two major pieces of story-driven DLC for the game which will introduce brand new stories from Metro world.
The biggest difference is that, instead of Artyom, you'll get the chance to play as Aurora's only American character Sam and also Colonel Khelbenikov.
Named The Two Colonels, the first DLC is set to arrive in Summer 2019 and it follows already mentioned Khelbenikov who, just below the surface of Novosibirsk makes his way home, to his son, Kirill for New Year's Eve.
However, as Khelbenikov travels across the metro, he notices that mutant attacks are on the rise, the precious green herb is running low and those in charge start to take "drastic measures".
This expansion will offer classic story-driven gameplay seen in Metro series, with a linear story chapter, brand new weapons and dark and claustrophobic environments.
In Sam's Story, which is the name of the second DLC, players will get a new sandbox survival level based on Vladivostok. As you may know, Sam was a US marine at the Moscow embassy before the nuclear disaster and is dreaming of his return to America, to his family.
As Spartans discover that Moscow is not the only city with survivors, Sam starts planning his trip back to the USA but to complete his journey, he'll have to travel across the new wastelands of post-apocalyptic Russia. Sam's Story is scheduled to release sometime in early 2020.
Both of these DLCs will be available in Metro Exodus expansion pass but you'll also be able to purchase them separately.
