Deep Silver pulled a sneaky one on Metro fans by signing the exclusivity deal with Epic Games Store. The exclusive was timed though and one year has passed. Now the fans can expect Metro Exodus on Steam, coming on 15 February 2020.
Metro Exodus' Steam release date is a bit odd since it falls on a Saturday instead of Tuesday which is most often the preferred day for launching new games. Then again, Metro Exodus is not a new game as it will have existed for one year on 15 February 2020.
The Steam version will go live at 5:00 AM GMT / 00:00 AM ET so both European and North American crowds will be able to enjoy the title as soon as Saturday comes. Unless some of them suffer a major hangover, that is.
currently does not have any price tag attached to it so the fans are currently unsure whether they should expect a price lower than that of a new AAA title.
Those who never got to purchase Metro Exodus on Steam and didn't bother checking it on EGS might want a glimpse into the system requirements. Despite being a beautiful open-world game, it does not require a NASA-worthy rig to get into the recommended specs zone.
Intel Core i7-4770k or an AMD equivalent is listed as the recommended CPU. While 4A Games didn't specifically say, Ryzen 5 2600 fits the bill. The fan-favourite Ryzen 5 3600 is even better.
Menawhile, on the GPU front, GTX 1070 is recommended if you're going with Nvidia or RX Vega 56 for AMD. Keep in mind that while Vega 56 is in the higher end of the GPU spectrum, RX 580 should be just fine with a couple of graphics tweaks. Therefore, mid-tier GPUs shouldn't have much of an issue running Metro Exodus with fairly beefed up graphics.
