Metro Exodus developers 4A Games have today shared a studio update blog post, where they talked about how the Russian invasion of Ukraine flipped their lives upside down, their current projects and more.
4A Games reveal that many of them lost their family members, friends and homes to bombings. Some developers decided to join the Armed Forces to defend Ukraine while others are still hard at work on unannounced projects, one of whom is the next Metro game.
The studio say that all the hardships they are enduring since the Russian invasion of Ukraine started over a year ago have made them rethink what the next Metro game should be. They say the next Metro is changing for the better as they are weaving their daily life experiences into the game.
While the studio is hard at work on the next Metro, they have somewhat hinted that the reveal won't be coming anytime soon and that they will only show the game when it's ready. They also remind the players that their Kyiv studio and Ukraine-based personnel are working under horrifying circumstances so be patient Metro fans.
4A Games so far released three Metro games including Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light and Metro Exodus. The trilogy is critically acclaimed and considered as one of the best atmospheric and post-apocalyptic shooters ever.
