Deep Silver and 4A Games have opened pre-orders for Metro 2039 ahead of its February 2027 launch, with three editions available and a backpack upgrade pack as a universal bonus for everyone who pre-orders.

Metro 2039 pre-orders are live. Deep Silver and 4A Games confirmed the full edition breakdown today alongside a pre-order sizzle trailer, with Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions all available now across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Every pre-order, regardless of edition, includes the Metro 2039 Specialist Pack. It contains three blueprints that unlock three unique swappable backpack upgrades early, giving players an equipment head start when the game launches in February 2027. The Deluxe Edition builds on the standard game with a post-launch Story Expansion DLC, the details of which will be shared at a later date. Digital Deluxe Edition buyers also receive a digital art book and the official soundtrack, while the physical Deluxe Edition swaps those for an exclusive SteelBook, a hardback art book, and bespoke premium packaging.

The Collector’s Edition is where things get interesting. It includes everything in the physical Deluxe Edition and adds what Deep Silver is billing as the headline item: a wearable replica Spartan Helmet, modelled after the iconic headgear worn by the Spartan Order rangers throughout the Metro series.

It is the kind of centrepiece collectors’ item that tends to sell out quickly, and a separate teaser trailer (see above) has been released specifically for the Collector’s Edition to show it off. Metro 2039 is developed by 4A Games, whose Ukrainian team rebuilt the game’s story entirely around their experience of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It is the fourth mainline entry in the series and returns to the Moscow Metro after Metro Exodus took the franchise above ground in 2019. The game launches in February 2027.
