Marvel Rivals players will be able to square off against demons and monsters in its newest PvE mode Bloodhunt. Developed by NetEase and announced as part of Season 7.5, players will encounter twisted versions of other heroes while fighting off demonic creatures sent by Dracula himself.
Bloodhunt will pit players against “waves of the undead” while trying to survive as long as possible. Unlike the PvP combat mode players might already be familiar with, Bloodhunt encourages players to work together in new ways to survive enemy attacks.
Marvel Rivals is introducing Bloodhunt as part of Season 7.5
Bloodhunt does emphasize players working together but also how they coordinate and react to increasingly hectic gameplay. Much like a traditional hack and slash or demon slaying game players will need to watch their backs and work together as the battle becomes overwhelming.
Up to five players will be tasked with surviving against hordes of monsters and glitched-out heroes from Marvel’s lineup of characters.
In the Marvel Rivals' gameplay demonstrations featured in the trailer above Captain America is seen raging around the battlefield like a werewolf. Players will eventually fight against Dracula himself at the end of Bloodhunt, transforming it into more of a boss-rush style mode.
Elsa Bloodstone can also be seen in-game hinting at the horror elements at play when fighting Dracula and his undead minions.
Marvel Rivals is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
