Since its launch in December 2024, the game has evolved with a large roster of characters with seasonal additions like the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, and Angela. With the new upcoming Season 7.5 update, Marvel Rivals players have received a new Duelist, Black Cat. Here's a look at her abilities in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals: Black Cat 101
Let us begin with a rundown of Black Cat in Marvel Rivals. Black Cat is a melee Duelist character with the ability to take medium- and short-range fights. Here's a complete overview of Black Cat's move set:
- Felyne Fury (Primary Attack): Swipe forward with razor-sharp claws.
- Claw Whip (Primary Attack 2): Fire out tethered claws and whip them forward in a devastating arc, dealing damage to all enemies caught in range.
- Fortune's Favour (Secondary Attack): Spends Fortune to unleash either Claw Whip or Phantom Pursuit.
- Calling Card (Ultimate): Issue a Calling Card to all enemies, instantly dash to any enemy in sight and range, tearing into the, with your claws to deal Percentage Damage.
- Cat's Cradle: Lunge forward with claws bared, slicing through any enemies caught in your path.
- Turn Of Fortune: Launch a grappling hook forward that damages an enemy on impact and steals Fortune.
- Phantom Pursuit (Fortune's Favour): Swiftly dash to an enemy, unleash a rapid flurry of claw attacks, and flash back to your starting position. Black Cat is Untargetable during this move.

- Stealthy Catwalk: Hold Space to crawl up vertical surfaces.
- Malkin Misfortune: Apply Jinx to enemies on hit. Jinxed foes have a chance to lose their bonus damage when striking Black Cat with a Critical Hit.
- GIlded Deal:Open a dimensional rift via the Randall Gate. Spend Fortune to barter with the Gilded Saint for rare relics from the New York Thieves Guild Vault.
- Tablet of Destinies: Gain a random amount of Fortune.
- Helm of Hades: Enter Invisible state for a set duration.
- Faltine Flame Orb: Conjure an orb of mystical Faltine Flame to Reveal and mark all nearby enemies.
- Chernobog's Crystal: Purify yourself, instantly removing any active control effects.
- Ring of Zona: Open a portal on a surface, allowing instant traversal to the opposite side.
- Mento-Fish: Create a hypnosis field. Disables movement abilities and Ground all enemies caught within.
Black Cat will be the second character to join the hero roster in Season 7.5, with White Fox being the first hero of this update. From the looks of her abilities, it is apparent that Black Cat will be a worthy Duelist and close-range brawler to dominate the close-range and brawling gameplay meta of Season 7.5.
