The League of Legends World Championship 2022 is just around the corner. However, it seems that Fnatic won't have their bot lane present in the largest Riot Games-organized tournament in the world.
For fans of the World Championship, watching great games means everything, and for that to happen teams need to put on their best. Unfortunately, it seems that multiple teams will be either at half-strength or not participating at all this year, through no fault of their own.
Fnatic has had issues with players contracting Covid 19, and have gone back and forth with option on how to play at Worlds 2022. In the end, they will play the first game from isolation.
"Following Riots Update Regarding Worlds 2022 Covid Cases, we wanted to provide another update before we face off with vs EG & The Chiefs.
Multiple Members of the team have tested positive and as such we will play from isolation as a team for tonight's matchups. This situation is less than ideal but the health and safety of the players and staff in Mexico City once again takes priority," said Fnatic in their recent tweet.
They go on to promise that they will provide further updates as they have them, and say that they still aim to give it their absolute best in the opening Play-In games.
