The last top lane champion Riot Games added to League of Legends was Gwen, a top lane skirmisher. She is a far cry from what the top lane archetype is, and the new champion coming to League of Legends may fulfill it, finally.
Riot have released a roadmap for pre-season 2023, along with the champions we can expect to see in the game in the future, sometime in late 2022, as Riot Games seem to plan his release just before the Aurelion Sol rework goes live.
K'Sante is a champion hailing from Shurima. However, he comes from Nazumah, a new region of Shurima which has not been revealed up until now. Nazumah is a region that does not bow to the rule of Azir, and is a separate region of Shurima, it seems.
And, in this region, K'Sante is called the Pride of Nazumah, due to his abilities in battle. He is described as amazing to see, by the developers, and has an interesting lore.
K'Sante uses an interesting weapon, made from the pelt of the largest monster the desert had ever seen. Its base form is that of a bludgeoning weapon, which can also be used in defense.
Upon its activation, however, finely crafted blades are revealed, that allow K'Sante to kill all enemies in his way. It would appear that K'Sante will have a dual-class, of a tank and bruiser both.
He may also require players to be able to juggle his two modes, similar to the requirements when playing Gnar, as it takes time for his defensive mode to regenerate, leaving K'Sante vulnerable.
All in all, we can't wait to see more about this new tank champion coming to League of Legends and to play him as soon as he goes live on the PBE.
