League of Legends World Championship 2022 will feature 4 LEC teams representing Europe. However, it seems that Fnatic won't be going in at full strength.

The League of Legends World Championship 2022 is just around the corner. However, it seems that Fnatic won't have their bot lane present in the largest Riot Games -organized tournament in the world.

For fans of the World Championship, watching great games means everything, and for that to happen teams need to put on their best. Unfortunately, it seems that multiple teams will be either at half-strength or not participating at all this year, through no fault of their own.

The first Worlds 2022 match will take place on 29 September 2022, and FNC Hylissang and FNC Upset, test positive for COVID-19 one week before the competition begins.

Fnatic League of Legends - Will Bean have to replace Upset? League of Legends - Will Bean have to replace Upset?

Both Fnatic players seem to be taking the situation well, and have not lost their morale, with Upset giving out a positive statement:

"Pretty sad timing but me and hyli are just gonna try to recover as fast as possible that we don’t miss any matches and prepare as good as possible from eu for now."

Luckily for both players, there is still a chance for them to participate in the World Championship 2022. unlike the Vietnam teams that are being stopped due to bureaucracy.

If they do not recover in time, we will perhaps see Bean step in, to take the position of the ADC, once again.
