Season 2025 is just around the corner, and Riot Games doesn't stop at anything huge for League of Legends. It will be a season full of huge changes: from updated maps, system changes to new items and game mechanics.

The item shop will be seeing a number of new additions, including Tier 3 upgrades for boots and much more. Also, Season 2025 will bring some new runes and Epic Monsters as well.

A number of existing items and system features are also being changed. The most important ones are the Teleport rework and Turret and Minion adjustments.

New runes

Axiom Arcanist

  • Replaces Nullifying Orb.
  • Increases ultimate damage by 12% (or 8% for AoE), along with healing and shielding.
  • Enemy champion takedowns reduce ultimate cooldown by 7%.

Deep Ward

  • Replaces Eyeball Collection.
  • Wards in enemy jungle are designated as Deep Wards and gain extra health and extended durations.
  • At level 11, wards placed in the river are also considered Deep Wards.

Grisly Mementos

  • Replaces Ghost Poro.
  • Gain trinket haste per takedown, stacking up to 100 at max.
  • On Howling Abyss, takedowns grant permanent ultimate haste.

Sixth Sense

  • Replaces Zombie Ward.
  • Tracks untracked nearby wards and, at level 11, reveals them for 10 seconds.

New Monster: Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin

  • Spawn Conditions: Appears near top or bot lane depending on kills/deaths/damage by 14 minutes.

Forms:

  • Ruinous Atakhan (for bloodier games): Grants Crown of Carnage for enhanced monster buffs and introduces Blood Roses for adaptive force boosts.
  • Voracious Atakhan (for quieter games): Provides False Life, allowing temporary resurrection, and extra gold generation.

Objective changes

  • Rift Herald: Spawns at 16:00 (up from 14:00).
  • Baron Nashor: Spawns at 25:00 (up from 20:00).

Turret and Minion adjustments

  • Nexus Turrets: Now respawn 3 minutes after being destroyed.
  • Minion Damage: Increased to 55% for structures and champions.
  • Health, damage, and armor adjustments made across all minion types, with new on-hit effects based on the target's health.

Summoner Spell changes

Teleport:

  • No longer blinks to target. Instead, it’s a 5-second dash during which you’re untargetable.
  • Can now target ally minions or wards.
  • Cooldown reduced to 300 seconds.
