Patch 14.5 is League of Legends' latest patch, bringing substantial and impactful changes to the meta. Previously we received information on all the changes made to champions on Patch 14.5 and they were mostly targeted at some of the most broken champions in the game.
However, the updated patch notes reveal several changes made to support and tank items on this patch which were already expensive and necessary.
So let's take a look at all that Riot has changed on League of Legends with their latest patch so that we can understand what to pick and to avoid in our next game on Summoner's Rift.
League of Legends Patch 14.5 Item Changes:
Celestial Opposition
- Celestial Opposition's cooldown was reduced from 20 seconds to 18 seconds
- It now slows more, going from 50% to 60%
- Its slow duration also increased from 1.5 seconds to 2 seconds
Dream Maker
- Dream Maker's damage reduction was adjusted from 140 flat to 75–255 (levels 6–18)
- Its bonus damage was also adjusted from 90 flat to 50–170 (levels 6–18)
Frozen Heart
- Frozen Heart now costs more going from 2400 to 2500
- Its armour was lowered from 70 to 65
Heartsteel
- Heartsteel's base damage was lowered from 100 to 80
- It's health ratio from items got increased from 10% to 12%
Navori Quickblade
- The Pickaxe component was replaced by B. F. Sword in Navori Blade's recipe
- Its cost remains unchanged
- It also has increased AD going from 60 to 65
Runaan’s Hurricane REVERTED
Runaan’s Hurricane is nowpurchasable by melee champsIts Bolts now have a minimum range of 350The Bolt damage is now modified by on-hit modifiers (things like Urgot W which have reduced on-hit effectiveness)
Solstice Sleigh
- Solstice Sleigh's cooldown was increased from 20 seconds to 30 seconds
- Its movement speed was lowered from 30% to 25%
- Its bonus health granted got adjusted from 7% max HP to 50–230 (levels 6 – 18)
Sunfire Aegis
- Sunfire Aegis's base damage was increased from 12 to 15
- Its health provided was increased from 450 to 500
With so many changes to support and tank items and after the recent changes to Champions, things in the bottom lane will no longer be the same.
