When Is Aurora being released in League of Legends?

According to the teaser from Riot, Aurora possesses the ability to see things others cannot, thanks to her special glasses. Aurora will be released on July 14, 2024, coinciding with the launch of Patch 14.14 on live servers.

Overview of All of Aurora's Abilities

Here's everything we know so far about Aurora's Abilities:

Passive: Spirit Abjuration

Aurora attracts Wayward Spirits. Damaging an enemy three times with spells and attacks triggers an exorcism, dealing a percentage of the enemy’s max health as magic damage and releasing a spirit.

This spirit empowers Aurora, healing her every second and activating Spirit Mode, which grants a burst of movement speed for a short time. Additional spirits increase her bonus movement speed.

Q: Twofold Hex

Aurora launches a blast of cursed energy in a direction, inflicting magic damage and marking enemies with spirit energy.

Recast: Aurora ends the curse, pulling the spirit energy back to herself and dealing magic damage to enemies hit, scaled with their missing health.

W: Across the Veil

Aurora hops in a chosen direction, becoming invisible and entering Spirit Mode upon landing. If she secures a takedown on an enemy champion within 3 seconds of damaging them, the cooldown for Across the Veil resets.

E: The Weirding

Aurora opens a window to the spirit realm, unleashing a blast of spirit magic that deals area magic damage and applies a decaying slow. The force of the blast also knocks Aurora back slightly.

R: Between Worlds

Aurora creates a rift to the Spirit Realm, emitting a pulse of spirit energy that deals magic damage and slows enemies. The rift area merges with the Spirit Realm for a short duration, empowering Aurora's Spirit Mode with doubled bonuses and allowing her to traverse from one end of the rift to the other.

Enemies trying to cross the threshold are slowed and pushed back toward the center. Aurora can recast this ability to end the effect early.

While she’s tailored for the top lane, it’s anticipated that she may also be a viable choice for the mid-lane meta.Aurora hails from the Brini Vastaya, a mystical demihuman race characterized by rabbit-like features.

Additionally, she is connected to the Freljord region, a detail revealed through interactions in a mini-game where she formed a bond with Ornn.
