There is never a dull moment in Summoner's right. With the constantly evolving meta at League of Legends, the developers need to remain vigilant at all times and monitor how everything is performing.
However, with every new patch, there are always a few champions and items that are not performing as expected. So the developers at Riot nerf or buff these champions or items to balance them and stabilize the meta.
And that is what they are doing on Patch 14.5, adjusting the over-performing and under-performing champs.
Here are all the changes made to Champions on LOL Patch 14.5:
Diana:
- Diana's E cooldown reset is getting lowered from 0.5 seconds to 0.25 seconds
Galio:
- Galio's passive cooldown was increased from 5 seconds to 6 seconds
- His passive cooldown no longer scales down with ability haste
- Also, his passive cooldown is now reduced by 4 seconds when hitting champions with abilities, once per cast
- Again his passive's base damage is getting adjusted from 15-200 to 5-200
- Its AP ratio was lowered from 50% to 30%
- And his passive damage now scales with a 5% bonus HP
- His W's magic damage reduction AP ratio went from 5% per 100 AP to 3% (physical damage reduction is 50% of the magic damage reduction)
Red Kayn:
- Red Kayn's passive healing now scales with 0.5% per 100 bonus HP
- His R's healing went from 65% pre-mitigation damage to 75%
Rek’Sai:
- Rek'Sai's Q's auto-attack is no longer cancelable
- Attack windup was lowered from 26.6% to 20%
- Crit windup was lowered from 20.83% to 20%
- Attack windup scaling was lowered from 100% to 60%
- Her R's base damage was increased from 100–400 to 150–450
- Her R's health ratio was increased from 20%–30% target missing HP to 25%–35% target missing HP
Seraphine:

Smolder:
- Smolder's auto attack windup got lowered from 0.26 seconds to 0.25
- His Q's true damage burn got lowered from 6.5% max HP to 0.25%
- Also, his Q's true damage burn now scales with 2% per 100 bonus AD, 1.5% per 100 AP, 1% per 100 stacks
- His E's number of shots no longer scales with crit chance. It now scales with 2 shots per 100 stacks
- His R's base damage was lowered from 225–475 to 200–400
- Its sweet spot bonus damage was increased from 30% to 50%
- its base heal got lowered from 110–210 to 100–170
- The R's heal now scales with 50% bonus AD
Twisted Fate:
- Twisted Fate's Q bonus AD ratio was lowered from 50% to 40%
- His E's attack speed went from 10%–60% to 10%–50%
- His E's bonus AD ratio was lowered from 75% to 50%
Yorick:
- Yorick's E's ghoul bonus damage was lowered from 30% to 20%
- His Maiden's resistances increased from 10–50 (levels 10 – 18) to 30–90 (levels 6 – 18)
Based on these changes, we predict that Smolder will be much less of a threat in the bottom lane and while Galio will be doing less damage, he will however be casting more frequently to make up for it.
