League of Legends Patch 14.16 preview: All champion buffs, nerfs and more

League of Legends Patch 14.16 is set to release on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, with different release times and server maintenance for each region.

League of Legends Patch 14.16 is looking to bring numerous changes to the game in an effort to make it more fun to play and correct some of the issues it has been experiencing. So here is what players can look forward to.

Regarding the release date, Riot Games stated that the LoL Patch 14.15 is launching on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Champion buffs

This patch has numerous buffs focused mostly at raising performance within Solo Queue for a few Champions.

Here are the details:

Azir: Improved health regeneration and armor.
Katarina: Q, E, and R ability damage increased.
Orianna: AP Ratio on Q ability slightly increased.
Skarner: Increased base health and attack damage. Increased AD ratio on Q.
Syndra: R increased damage.
Sylas: More base health, damage increase for passive, and W abilities.
Vi: Small damage increase on Q ability.
Wukong: Added some passive armor and increased attack speed bonus ratio of E ability.

Riot Games

Vi will receive a small buff to her Q ability in LoL Patch 14.16

Champion nerfs

Only one champion will be receiving nerfs this patch:

Corki: The mana cost of his Q ability increased, and a cooldown was added to it as well.

Champion adjustments

Many champions are seeing changes to their balance:

Lucian: Passive and Q Ability Damage Changes - As playing at higher levels becomes increasingly demanding, these adjustments should help.
Qiyana: Adjustments to base armor, Q ability damage, and W ability bonus damage.
Senna: Tons of nerfs to make her not as viable as a stand-alone ADC, including attack speed growth, passive Q, healing and the slow ratio, W root duration, and R shield strength.

System buffs

A single quality of life change is undergoing implementation:

Black Cleaver: Stacks now apply in almost real-time, as opposed to 0.25s apart.

System nerfs

The following two items will be nerfed:

Blade of the Ruined King - Lowered attack damage and attack speed but raised melee on-hit damage.
Doran's Blade - Doran's health and life steal slightly reduced to better his power level as a starting item.

Patch 14.16 is focused on solving pertinent gameplay issues and further working on the balance of each player.
