Patch 12.22 is already being tested on the PBE. The buffs and nerfs, though, are what interest us the most. Whether these are all we'll be getting, or some new things are going to be added, is still up in the air.
League of Legends patch changes must first be tested on the Public Beta Environment servers, before going live. So, due to that, we have the option of knowing which champs Riot Games are buffing and nerfing, before the patch goes live.
There is also the option of trying out the new skins, of the Fright Night skin line , for free once they go live on the rest of the servers. However, the details regarding the buffs and nerfs interest us more.
The champion buffs in League of Legends patch 12.22 will be:
- Shaco (Bugged)
The system buffs, on the other hand, are intended for:
- Jak'Sho, the Protean
- Radiant Virtue
- Rod of Ages
In the tweet where he explains the currently intended changes, Riot Phroxzon explains that, bug-wise, things are looking especially good.
In addition, the balance overall, it would appear, is something Riot are satisfied with as well.
He goes on to explain that the tank item philosophy is intended so that players can flexibly purchase Mythics 1st/2nd depending on the game, with Sunfire still being the first buy in a lot of cases, while other options are available, so it doesn't become the only option for tank wave clear.
They still haven't commented on the stats of the actual items, and are waiting on more information, that is more games played, so that they can start off balancing out the items, and relevant champions, accordingly.
