Tahm Kench changes are currently live on PBE servers for testing. The rework is coming to League of Legends live servers with the next update, which is set for December 7, 2022.

Riot Games have officially revealed Tahm Kench's forthcoming mini-rework, which will be his second in League of Legends .Tahm Kench, The River King, was launched in 2015 and has been one of the most troublesome League of Legends champions.

He's been a headache to manage and was given a mini-rework a year ago. The River King's early incarnation was intended to be a top laner , but as players saw how broken his old W - Devour ability was, he began to be played as a support.

This brings us to the second Tahm Kench revamp. The second change is intended to keep him viable in the top lane and as support.

Here are all the Tahm Kench changes that are going live on PBE servers:

  • Passive – An Acquired Taste
  • Damage now scales with 2% AP per 100 bonus health
  • Q – Tongue Lash
  • AP ratio increased from 90% to 100%
  • W – Abyssal Dive
  • AP ratio increased from 125% to 150%
  • R – Devour
  • Shield now decays by 200 per second instead of lasting 2.5 seconds
  • Damage AP ratio increased from 5% per 100 AP to 7% per 100

Riot appears to be hoping to turn him into an AP bruiser champion with these enormous AP ratio improvements.

Although there are some good top-lane improvements, support Kench is getting a nerf. The R shield adjustments are significant and will have an impact on his ability to protect his teammates.
