Neeko rework is live on PBE servers!

Patch 13.9, scheduled for May 3, 2023, will feature the release of the Neeko rework. In the latest PBE patch of 2023, Riot has unveiled the details of the new Neeko rework!

League of Legends has undergone some major changes this season, with the preseason introducing several reworks to champions such as Jax, Aurelion Sol, and Yuumi.

This shows Riot's  commitment to improving champions that haven't performed well or don't align with their intended identity. As a result, players can expect upcoming reworks for champions like Ivern and Rell to follow the same pattern.

The next rework on the horizon is for Neeko, and it's been revealed that her passive will allow her to transform into various objects on the map. Riot Reav3 has confirmed that the Neeko rework is up next, so players can anticipate a fresh take on the shape-shifting champion.

From what we understood, Neeko's passive was set to be adjusted to align with her Trickster playstyle of using stealth to surprise and ambush enemies.

In addition to this, her abilities were also updated to deal more damage to monsters, along with some tweaks to balance out the overall damage output. All of these changes were shared by Riot Phlox, and players can now see the full list of updates.

Passive

  • Neeko will no longer receive Attack Speed or Movement Speed boosts from the disguised form if its stats are higher than hers
  • Cooldown for her passive has been fixed to six seconds.
  • Neeko can now store the Sho'ma of non-epic monsters, minions, traps, wards, or plants when she is within their vicinity for two seconds
  • Neeko's disguise will no longer break when she takes damage but will only end if the disguised form dies or if she is crowd controlled

Q – Blooming Burst

Damage to monsters has been added, and the secondary and tertiary bursts now deal more damage based on AP scaling but have lower base damage stats.

  • Secondary/Tertiary Pop Damage: 40/65/90/115/140 + 20% AP > 35/60/85/110/135 + 25% AP
  • Explosions now deal 30/40/50/60/70 bonus damage to monsters

W – Shapesplitter

  • After casting, Neeko can reactivate to send the clone to a new location
  • Empowered Attack deal 50 bonus damage to monsters.
  • Clone now plays animations and sounds from abilites, Joke, Taunt, Recall, Laugh, and survives until that duration

E – Tangle Barbs

  • Damage:  80/115/150/185/220 + 60% AP > 70/105/140/175/210 + 65% AP

R – Pop Blossom

  • After casting her ultimate, Neeko jumps into the air, suspending all nearby enemies
  • After 0.6 seconds, Neeko crashes down to the ground with all the suspended enemies, dealing damage and stunning them for 1.25 seconds
  • No longer shields
  • Damage: 200/425/650 (+130% AP) > 150/350/550 (+100% AP)
  • Cooldown: 90 seconds > 120/105/90 seconds
