Riot Games have recently released its latest patch notes for the League of Legends, stirring excitement among players for the return of the highly anticipated Essence Emporium event. Within these notes, a mention was made about the Emporium's impending reappearance in the game.
Many eager players speculate that the event might make its grand return with the rollout of patch 13.17. While this is a possibility, it's important to note that previous events suggest that the Emporium might not immediately go live during that same week.
Typically, past iterations of the Essence Emporium have been launched on Tuesdays. However, there's a chance the event could either commence slightly earlier or be delayed by a few days.
The Emporium lasts for only 14 days, and occurs biannually, amplifying its rarity. During this period, players are granted the unique opportunity to purchase exclusive in-game items, including icons and chromas for skins that were released between the months of June and December.
What truly sets the Emporium apart and fuels its fervent anticipation is the revolutionary shift in the purchasing system. Items that were conventionally only obtainable through Riot Points (RP), the purchasable currency, can now be secured using Blue Essence (BE), an in-game currency earned by actively playing the game.
Interestingly, the name "Essence Emporium" draws inspiration from the currency that serves as its backbone – Blue Essence. This ingenious currency switch not only invigorates the in-game economy but also resonates with players seeking greater accessibility to coveted items.
