Avalanche are using the DualSense controller features and 3D Audio to make Hogwarts Legacy as immersive as possible.

As expected, Hogwarts Legacy will feature a full slate of PlayStation 5 exclusive features, from DualSense controller to audio.

In the latest blog post over at the PlayStation website, Avalanche detailed these exclusive features and everything that players can expect if they play on PlayStation 5.

DualSense features

First off, Hogwarts Legacy supports DualSense's adaptive triggers which will allow for more flexibility in combat according to the blog post.

"You’ll feel the magical resistance at your fingertips through every spell, whether firing off a basic cast or summoning the strength for a more powerful charm."

Additionally, haptic feedback support will give spells a unique feel when players cast them. The goal was to make the DualSense controller become "an extension of the wand you hold in the game".

Also, when you deflect a spell with the Protego spell, you should feel the sizzling of the magic being reflected and absorbed by the Shield Charm.

Avalanche reveal that the DualSense controller lets you feel a variety of events throughout the world and won't be limited to magic. Whether it’s crushing ingredients while making potions or flying on a broom, the controller will react.

Sound and Graphics

Hogwarts Legacy will ship with two graphical modes - Fidelity and Performance. The performance mode will offer 60 FPS while the Fidelity option is locked to 30 FPS with a higher resolution.

Last but not least, there's the PS5 console’s Tempest 3D AudioTech that should provide an extra dose of immersion.
