A Bird In The Hand is a very, very late-game quest in Hogwarts Legacy , where you, Poppy and your mutual Centaur friend go on to take care of some business which we won't be mentioning here due to spoilers.
During this quest, you will have to solve some puzzles and the first puzzle you encounter can be a bit tricky if you don't know what you're doing. The puzzle is right in front of the entrance to the ruins and presents players with various symbols and two poles casting light to these symbols.

How to solve A Bird In The Hand door puzzle?
It's fairly simple, to be honest. Notice the symbols on the doors that are glowing, which are the sun and another symbol that yours truly didn't really recognise. Now, the key is to light the same symbols in the circle on the floor by moving "the lamp poles" so they are in line with the symbols.
Notice how certain symbols light up as you move the poles around the circle. Just line up the poles to a position that will light up the same two symbols as the ones that are glowing at the door and you'll solve the puzzle.
