Jagged Alliance 3 just became better with the Buns patch and it is on the road for even more improvement as we get closer to Vicki.

Haemimont codenamed Jagged Alliance 3 patches after the in-game mercenaries, with Buns being the first one to arrive.

This patch is focused on improving gameplay and adding quality-of-life upgrades and even a few more immersion improvements.

The highlights include, but are not limited to non-player turn speed, inaccurate attack changes, free aim improvements and an easier time with modding the game.

Non-player move speed refers to opponent and ally turns which usually take up a bunch of time, especially if a large enemy group has been engaged. With this change, both the ally and enemy NPCs will move faster in order to get back to your own move quicker and spare you from staring at bizarrely slow turns.

Inaccurate attacks now have a chance to hit other body parts so even if you miss a headshot, the bullet might still end up in an enemy's chest or a limb. Be careful though, this works both ways.

Additionally, bullets that miss and then hit a wall can ricochet and have a small chance of hitting a nearby character.

Free Aim is getting a quality-of-life upgrade as the players can now choose their firing mode while using the shortcut key, without having to back out of the attack to do so.

One change that didn't make it into the highlights but absolutely deserved to is that when civilians die to enemy or ally NPC fire, you will no longer lose loyalty. After all, it wasn't your mercs who shot them. However, it is unclear whether this affects the Pacifist achievement.
